Our Client CQ Hotels Wellington wins the Team Gold Award

CQ Hotels, the adjoining Comfort Hotel Wellington and Quality Hotel Wellington, took home the Team Gold award, and was commended by the Wellington Gold Awards for holding regular team bonding events and mentoring programs to promote a sense of unity among the team members. The Wellington Gold Awards was held at the TSB Bank Arena on June 30, celebrating the excellence and enterprise of business in the Wellington region.
Olivier Lacoua, general manager of CQ Hotels Wellington (seen above thanking the audience in sign language), was also praised in early June by Wellington City Council for his leadership and guidance in accessibility at the Absolutely Positively Wellingtonian awards. These civic awards are an appreciation of Wellingtonians who have made a contribution to their community.
Mr Lacoua is pleased for CQ Hotels to be held high in recognition for its ongoing commitment to HR best practice and accessibility of the hotels.

Community is everything for us, and we are proud to be held up as a best practice example of this for the hotel sector,” he said.
CQ Hotels has been working with Be Accessible, a social change enterprise since 2012 on improving its accessibility, bringing about an introduction to braille menus and sign language in its restaurant, specialised evacuation facilities and an internship program for youth with disabilities. CQ Hotels also has nine fully-accessible rooms that allow wheelchair users to have full independence, uncommon in many hotel properties.
